乗船後すぐに避難訓練に参加。「部屋のどこかにある救命胴衣を持って、シアターに集合してください」という宝探しゲームのような紙をもらって、指示通りシアターに集合しました。避難訓練は全員参加が義務付けられているので、受講のチェックのために入り口でクルーズカードをスキャンしてもらいます。
事前情報通りグダグダの進行でしたが、「船から落ちた人を見たらどうするか」など、よく考えたら深刻なケースについても説明を受けました。ちなみに、海に落ちた人を発見したら「Man overboard!」と、クルーが気付くまで大声で叫び続けるのだそう…。アナログ杉ワロエナイ。
次の日の朝、避難訓練をさぼった人が船内アナウンスで呼び出しされていたので、受講のチェックはしっかりしていそうです。
別の日に、救命ボートをメンテナンスしている人を観察していたら、近くを通りかかったクルーが毎日様々な訓練をしていると言っていました。イケメンでした。
